100 Kids Who Care – Mindfulness Edition
Tuesday February 27, 6:15-67:30
Sacred Heart School of Halifax, 5829 Spring Garden Rd.
It’s time for another 100 Kids Who Care Halifax meeting and this time it’s all about Mindfulness. Join us for a calming craft, some yoga with the team from Grow A Lotus Yoga Pad and the most important part – giving back to our community.
Each child is asked to bring a $10 donation to the event. During the evening, you’ll hear from 3 young presenters who will share their charity of choice. (Click here to submit your nomination form if you would like to present your favourite charity.) The group then votes on the charity that will receive the donation. It’s a fantastic way for children to learn more about local causes and better understand how they can make a difference.
Don’t miss this jam-packed evening of learning, giving and lots of fun. Doors open at 6:15 for snacks and registration.
100 Kids Who Care – Giving Tuesday Edition!
Wow – what a wonderful Giving Tuesday meeting of 100 Kids Who Care Halifax!!
Thanks to the 50 kids (and their parents) who joined us for an amazing evening of giving. We are so proud of Sam, Tessa, Julia and Hayden who all did a fantastic job pitching their charities. Together, we raised $540 for Camp Brigadoon – Hooray!! We were so impressed with how respectful and considerate everyone was and hope you all had as much fun as we did!
Thank you also to our speaker, Mrs. Kennedy and to our sponsors, Boyne Clarke, Freak Lunch Box, Colleen Ryan and Sacred Heart.
Join us for our next meeting in February, stay tuned for details.
How it works:
Each child is asked to bring a $10 donation to each of our meetings. During the evening, you’ll hear from 3 young presenters who will share their charity of choice.
