About Us

100 Kids Halifax is a forum for local children to learn about philanthropy, become advocates for causes that matter to them and discover how their time, treasure and talent can make a lasting impact in their community. Our mission is to inspire a generation of givers that are eager to make a difference, engaged in their community and empowered with kindness.

100 Kids Halifax is part of the larger alliance of men, women and people around the world who care about causes in their community.

Our Organizing Committee:

Sarah Williams is a marketing professional with a passion for idea generation. She was born and raised in Newfoundland but is so happy to call Halifax home. She is thankful for her husband Sean and their two daughters. Sarah is thrilled to be a part of 100 Kids and is eager to help inspire the next generation of community givers.

Nina Speyer moved to Halifax from the west coast in 2015. She is thrilled to call Halifax home and excited to help kids give back to our wonderful community. Nina has always loved animals and devoted her career to caring for them as a veterinarian. Nina is happy to share her home with husband Brian, 2 kids, a naughty kitty…and a sweet lazy dog.

Robin Thorsteinson is an avid volunteer and is excited to be involved in 100 Kids Who Care. She loves investing in her community and is keen to help kids learn more about giving back to the their community too. Robin is an avid skier, sailor and yogi. She lives in Halifax with her husband Rob and her three boys, Sam, Zac and Charlie.

Big thanks to Charlie, Zac, Tessa, Libby, Sam and Ali who are our amazing youth Advisory Panel!
