Meetings

Join us on Monday, June 29th, 2020 @ 6:30 pm as 100 Kids Who Care goes Virtual. We’re not going to let a pandemic stop us from continuing to support our community – but there’s a twist!

This time, instead of pitching or voting, we are joining forces with the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, so our donation will help support programs for youth in our community.

We are thrilled to have the Foundation’s President & CEO, Starr Cunningham, join us to discuss some ways we can all stay happy and healthy at home. PLUS, as a past co-host of CTV’s Live @ 5, Starr will also share some of her secrets on speaking in public. So you’ll be able to rock your next google hangout or 100 Kids pitch 😉

Grab a healthy snack, throw on your pyjamas and join us online for a fun evening of learning and giving, not to mention games and prizes too!

100 Kids Who Care – Giving Tuesday Edition!

Wow – what a wonderful Giving Tuesday meeting of 100 Kids Who Care Halifax!!

Thanks to the 50 kids (and their parents) who joined us for an amazing evening of giving. We are so proud of Sam, Tessa, Julia and Hayden who all did a fantastic job pitching their charities. Together, we raised $540 for Camp Brigadoon – Hooray!! We were so impressed with how respectful and considerate everyone was and hope you all had as much fun as we did!

Thank you also to our speaker, Mrs. Kennedy and to our sponsors, Boyne Clarke, Freak Lunch Box, Colleen Ryan and Sacred Heart.

Join us for our next meeting in February, stay tuned for details.

How it works:

Each child is asked to bring a $10 donation to each of our meetings. During the evening, you’ll hear from 3 young presenters who will share their charity of choice. The group then votes on the charity that will receive the donation. It’s a fantastic way for children to learn more about local causes and better understand how they can make a difference.
